PokerStars Team Pro Tuesdays

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to trade punches with a heavyweight champ? Take a swing at a 90 mph fastball hurled by Major League pitcher? Whether or not you’d be able to hold onto the ball and not fumble after being hit by a veteran linebacker while going straight up the middle? Sure you have. We’re competitive. That’s part of what makes us human.
Well, online poker power hitter Poker Stars has come up with an interesting tournament called Team Pro Tuesdays, that offers a new twist on the old ‘what if’ game. Every Tuesday night they will hold two separate ‘Outlast the Pro’ tournaments in which players can pocket cold hard cash for outlasting the Pros.
From December 8th through December 29th there will be two tournaments each Tuesday, one at 13:00 EST, and another at 20:00 EST, with a buy-in just $11, and an additional $1,000 added to the prize pool. All you have to do is stay in the game.
Sounds cool, doesn’t it?
Also on Tuesdays, numerous PokerStar’s pro players will be logging on and playing at tables all across the spectrum, from cash games to tournaments, at a wide range of games and buy-in levels. You’ll be able to observe your favorite players in action, analyze their play, and talk to them from the rail.
PokerStars is home to some of the heaviest hitters in poker. From newly crowned WSOP Champ Joe Cada, to 2008 Main Event winner Peter Eastgate, along with Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, and the legendary Chris Moneymaker, to name but a few. To find out which of the PokerStars Pro players will be online on Tuesday between 12:00-15:00 EST and 19:00-22:00 EST, all you need to do is open the PokerStars software and click the ‘Team Pro’ button at the bottom of the main lobby window.
If you are wondering how the cash would be split, PokerStars offers the following example:
You are playing in an Outlast the Pro tournament and the last Team Pro left in is Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, who then busts out in 83rd place. You and every other player still left in would get an even share of the added $1,000 cash – in this case $12.20 each ($1,000/82 = $12.20).
Also in December, PokerStars is closing out the year by giving players the chance to win extra PokerStars Passports by racking up points on the December Monthly Tournament Leader Board. Finish in the top 2,000 and you could win one of six passports, plus a share of the huge added cash prize pool.
A PokerStars Passport lets you travel to the biggest live events, including the European Poker Tour (EPT), Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) and more. And the best thing about the PokerStars Passport December promotion is that it’s free to enter.
Players can use the passport to travel to places like Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Sydney, Macau, or The Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Hotel accommodation and money for expenses is included for every event you decide to attend.
